Thread forming screws for industrial applications

For your support, we measure screw insertion, failing and loosening torque as well as preload and pull-out forces in our application laboratory. We give advices for an optimised fastening process according to these results.

Metals

TAPTITE 2000

The TAPTITE 2000 features low insertion torque and high pre-tensioning strength. The conical tip over the first 2 to 2.5 thread turns (SP™ version) improves insertion. The Radius Profile™ thread means less deformation of the female material.

REMFORM II "F"

The REMFORM II "F" is an application specific version of the REMFORM II fastener. The increased core diameter, a reduced thread pitch and the over two turns extended thread forming area make it perfectly suitable for die-cast, thermosetting plastics and highly reinforced thermoplastics.

Thin metal sheets

EXTRUDE-TITE 2000

The EXTRUDE-TITE 2000 has been specially developed for joining thin sheet metal. Integrating the tried and tested Radius Profile™ of the TAPTITE 2000 leads to optimal fastener security. Combined with the trilobular form, this results in lower insertion torque, coupled with improved resistance to loosening.

Plastics

REMFORM II

The special thread of REMFORM II fasteners provides good fastening properties, even in thin-walled and low threaded tubes. This enables you to develop plastic mouldings which can be produced with short cycle times. The result is a substantial cost reduction in the components.
The release properties of the screws and the elimination of threaded inserts make REMFORM II the ideal fastening for subsequent product recycling.

REMFORM II "HS"

In comparison to the standard REMFORM II the "HS" version has a larger thread core, a high tensile strength of more than 1'000 N/mm² (class 10.9) and a reduced thread pitch, making it ideal for use with hard glass or glass fibre reinforced plastics.

Even with low insertion depths REMFORM II "HS" offers advantages, because of the shallow pitch.

REMFORM II "F"

PUSHTITE II

PUSHTITE fasteners are pushed in by axial force. Compared with screwed connections this results in substantially shortened assembly time. The asymmetrical thread profile requires a low push-in force but provides exceptional pull-out resistance. The trilobular cross-section guarantees a high torque against loosing and in this way enhances the functional safety.
