Ethical business practice
SFS intec underlines its ethical code of conduct through its support of the UN Global Compacts.
The United Nations Global Compact is the organisation’s strategic initiative for corporations who commit to ten universally recognised principles governing human rights, working standards, environmental protection and fighting corruption in their business practices and strategies.
SFS intec employees communicate with their customers every day in many ways – whether working on daily business, or realising demanding projects. For this to take place efficiently, substantial responsibility is assigned to the local organisations.
One globally valid quality standard is assured with our quest for uniform processes as one of the overriding practices at SFS intec.
This is supported by regular strategy seminars, centrally organised management development and English as the common company language.
The road to sustainable company development can only be taken with motivated and competent employees. At SFS intec, the foundation for this is the pronounced mindset for quality of the entire workforce and a high level of continuity among management and specialist experts.
Organisational freedom enables employees to use their own initiative and promotes entrepreneurial thinking and behaviour. This is made possible by the company culture based on trust as it is lived by management and the workforce.
Aware of this, we consistently develop and promote our employees. In addition it is our duty to offer the specialist employees of tomorrow basic and vocational education and training at our sites.
Health and safety at work
The directives of OHSAS Standard 18001 form the basis for ensuring health and safety at work. These are supplemented by country-specific accident avoidance laws, regulations and bye-laws. The procedures concerned are gathered together in the SFS intec Business Management System.
Adherence is monitored via internal audits. We also carry out regular risk assessments on machines and equipment, with corresponding action plans to achieve the objectives we place on ourselves. The organisation of this work is decentralised to the individual SFS intec sites, and carried out by highly skilled and continuously trained health and safety representatives with the authority to carry out their duties at every level within the organisation. We actively engage in work safety by removing risk factors and implementing security features, and by offering employees sports facilities.
The directives of the ISO 14001 Standard form the basis for ensuring environmental protection. These are supplemented by country-specific accident avoidance laws, regulations and bye-laws. The procedures concerned are gathered together in the SFS intec Business Management System.
Adherence is monitored via internal audits. We measure our ecological footprint via annual eco-accounts, forming the basis for measuring how well we meet our targets, and setting targets for improving our environmental contribution.
The organisation of this work is decentralised to the individual SFS intec sites, and carried out by highly skilled and continuously trained environment representatives.
